ANOTHER MASSACRE IN JOS, 35 KILLED IN COMMUNITY BEHIND UNIJOS

Gunmen have killed no fewer than 35 people in Jos, just some two weeks after muslim travellers were massacred on Rukuba road.

The latest killing occurred Tuesday night at Yelwa Zangam community behind the University of Jos (UNIJOS).

The gunmen invaded the community around 9pm on Tuesday, burning houses and shooting anyone on sight.

A resident, Yakubu, confirmed the fresh attack to reporters on Wednesday morning, according to The Nation.

He said more than over 30 people were killed and security personnel had been drafted to the area.

Plateau Police Command, spokesman, ASP Gabriel Ubah confirmed the incident and said the police would brief the media later.

Since the Rukuba, Jos has been gripped by reports of deadly violence.

The University of Jos has been shut.

Many states have sent in buses to evacuate their students in the university.
