The first ever Aviation Brigade in the Nigerian Army is taking shape with the delivery of the first pair of UH-1 Huey helicopters from the United States. Bringing with it new structure, new doctrine and brand new way of fighting.
Combining the airlift and CAS capabilities of the UH-1 Huey together with the attack firepower of the incoming Cayuse Warrior helicopters, the Nigerian army will be able to mount air assault operations using the firepower and mobility of these helicopters. |
