So who’s jittery over Rivers State House of Assembly decision to probe former Sole Administrator, Ibok-Ette Ibas after he had presided over the State for six months.
Recall that President Tinubu appointed Ibas six months ago to take over the State as a Sole Administrator, throwing away the duly elected governor as well as the State House of Assembly.
After his tenure lapsed, Ibas claimed he served the State to the best of his ability but the reinstated Assembly seems to believe otherwise hence their move to probe him..
ABUJAREPORTERS gathered that since the statement by the Assembly, all has not been well with the former Sole Administrator.
Already petitions against his tenure are believed to have been submitted to the EFCC as well as the ICPC.
Sources gathered that the tenure of the Sole Administrator left so much to be desired and if the shit hits the fan it will become a major scandal hence the need to tell the EFCC to thread softly.
So who’s afraid of the ill wind that a public outrcy over the profligacy under the Tinubu-appointed Sole Administrator may be an ill wind?
Of course all the parties are apprehensive.
AS it stands even EFCC may be swanked if the mud splashes too much. It has received petition but it has not acted. The Administrator has gone on air to say that the House cannot probe him in a way viewed as deflecting the imminent probe. Eventually a whitewashed investigation may just be the best way to keep all quiet.
